The family of the late Sheikh Abbas Gadheldam, mourns with profound sorrow the passing of their beloved friend and brother Dr. Bona Malwal Madut, who passed away on Sunday evening, November 2, 2025 in Juba.
The Sudanese nation, both North and South, has lost a prominent figure in Sudanese and African history, renowned for his significant achievements in media, peace, freedom, and political struggle, as well as his historic African and global contributions that have left an indelible mark on the world.
The late Dr. Bona was a brother, supporter, and an inspiring mentor, always generous with his time, wisdom, and steadfast presence through every stage of life — in joy and in sorrow alike. His compassion and loyalty were a constant source of comfort and strength to our family.
Our deepest condolences go out to his family, his friends, and all who loved him. We pray that God Almighty may grant him an eternal peace and may God give his family, loved ones and all who knew him patience and solace.

تنعى أسرة المرحوح الشيخ عباس قدح الدم بكل الحزن والأسى فقيدها الغالي، الصديق والأخ الدكتور بونا ملوال مودوت، الذي وافته المنية مساء يوم الأحد، الموافق 2 نوفمبر 2025، بمدينة جوبا.

لقد فقدت الأمة السودانية، شمالاً وجنوباً، رمزاً من رموز التاريخ السوداني والأفريقي، بإنجازاته المؤرخة في مجالات الإعلام
و السلام والحرية والنضال السياسي ومساهماته التاريخية الافريقية والعالمية التي تركت بصمة واضحة في العالم اجمع.

كان الفقيد، رحمه الله، أخاً سنداً ومرشداً ملهماً وناصحاً صادقاً، لم يبخل على الأسرة بعلاقاته الممتدة ووقوفه الصادق في كل مراحل الحياة، سواء عند الأفراح والاتراح وكانت مواساته لنا دائماً مصدر عزاء وطمأنينة.

العزاء موصول إلى أبنائه و أسرته الكريمة وأصدقائه ومحبيه، ونسأل الله أن يرقده في سلام ، وأن ينعم عليه بالراحة الأبدية في حضن المسيح، وأن يمنح أهله وذويه وكل من عرفه الصبر والسلوان.
